For larger groups, I think yes. For 2 or 4 just show up. Rol San has a large back room too.
Dim sum...beef moo shu...Cantonese chow mein... and you can ask them to make your food just like you want..spicy...sauces on the side.... ask for Ben or Candy
No
It's best to check out the website for that information or call them directly. The companies involved don't usually check here for customer queries. I hope that helps.
Phone and ask.
They should be the never really close
This place is a typical Chinese spot which offers variety of dishes with more focus on dimsum. Did not find anything outstanding about this place but definitely earns some points for their late hours of operation.
I have been getting takeout regularly from Rol San since Covid. Dim sum is always good, especially the siu mai & rice rolls. Love their stuffed tofu and preserved meat with rice.
This place has never had great customer service. Most of the staff are rude and dismissive to any requests especially if you're a person of colour. I've witnessed numerous occasions of them being selective with good service and friendliness. There's a lady at the front counter when you first walk in that is very arrogant and snooty like she doesn't want "your kind" of business. Never going to this restaurant again #diningwhileblack
These guys are a classic! I go at least once every few months. Their food is amazing, I recently got takeout (beef short rib and the Shanghai noodles) for my dad and he was blown away. The food is so good I'll pay whatever they charge- usually in the mid to high teens. Buut their beer prices are super fair. And the service is always amazing! Definitely a recommend.
Their covid take out set up is great - you head in and someone greets you right away to ask if you've ordered or not. There's tables set up so you know where to go, and order sheets if you haven't ordered and want to order right there and then. If you have ordered, just tell them the phone number it was ordered with... You can still play with Visa as well. Also - no chasiu pastry puff! And they open at 10am, so call as early as then!
Very good food. Fast service and nice staff. The restaurant is also open until late at night which is nice for some late night eats. Very good dim sums and noodles. The service is fast.
Been going there for dim sum. It’s great. I find myself having to ask for mustard and chili oil more than once to actually get it. Otherwise no complaints.
I took my friends who visited Toronto for the 1st time to this place, hoping to leave them a good impression. The waitress were extremely rude and put a dish on my plate that I was still using. The wait was quite long as well. There are many dim sum places in Toronto that offer way better food and service. Just avoid this place if possible.
My favorite Cantonese restaurant in the neighbourhood. Friendly helpful staff, delicious food..
H&M Jacket To Heaven - Underrated Dim SumVisiting family in Toronto and wanted to head down to Chinatown on the Subway. We were starving.Stopped in the Spadina Station getting ready to board when a man stopped me and asked me where I got my jacket."H&M" I responded. He looked surprised, said "really" and as he was preparing to leave my wife stopped him and asked him for good Chinese spot."You have to try Rol San!" he responded before darting off into the night.Rol San it is I guess (and is it pronounced "Rose-Anne"?)Anyway, after a short bus ride and brief walk we entered the doors of Rol San ready to chow down on some Dim Sum.My gosh was it good!Service was awful - like they could care less we were there but the food made up for it.Highly recommend if in the area and you're looking for some good Dim Sum.Sum of the best I've had yet (pun intended).
Was recommended this traditional Chinese restaurant by a local. Certainly based on the previous reviews it is exactly as described. It is a run-of-the-mill Chinese restaurant serving run-of-the-mill traditional Chinese food. The prices are relatively cheap, the food is acceptable, but certainly standard fare. If you are expecting plastic tablecloths, Mirrors on the walls, laminated menus 10 years old, then you wouldn’t be wrong. Don’t get me wrong, for being a joint that stays up late and stays true to the genre as well as having food delivered super fast, It fits the bill. I can see why this place would be popular with students coming in after studying late at night or partying.
A nice place for lunch and the dim sum (by order not cart) is consistently great (chicken feet tastes amazing) but the a la carte menu just isn’t as good. The crispy ginger beef was really on the dry side, way too sweet and too much chili without a balanced flavoring. We couldn’t eat it. However insipidly prepared though the vegetables and seafood always taste fresh. However, I’m sure we’ll keep coming for the dim sum menu.
